Classify before you apply

A long list is useful only when each role has a reason to stay on it.

  • Apply nowThe role is verified, relevant enough, logistically possible and open on the official employer site.
  • Research firstPay, location, authorization, schedule, duties or the application channel remains unclear.
  • Build towardThe role is a future target and shows which project, skill or course could close a real gap.
  • ArchiveThe role is closed, unverifiable, unaffordable or incompatible with a non-negotiable constraint.

Move one role through the system

Keep the source, version and next action attached to the same record.

  1. Verify the openingLocate it on the employer's careers site and compare title, location and requisition details.
  2. Save the evidenceKeep the posting text, deadline and source URL because listings can change after submission.
  3. Select matching proofChoose two or three experiences that answer the role's central work instead of rewriting every line.
  4. Submit onceFollow the stated file, question and channel requirements; record confirmation without sending duplicates.
  5. Schedule the next actionAdd a realistic follow-up, interview-prep or archive date instead of checking the portal daily.

Reject scam patterns early

Professional-looking messages, interviews and logos are not proof by themselves.

  • Independent channelContact the employer through a website or number you found independently, not only the recruiter's link.
  • No paymentDo not pay for equipment, training, certification or access as a condition of receiving the job.
  • No check forwardingNever deposit an employer check and use part of it to buy supplies, gift cards or send money elsewhere.
  • Sensitive data timingDo not provide bank, tax or identity details before verifying the employer, role and actual hiring process.
  • Report and preserveSave messages and transaction details, then use the platform, school and FTC reporting routes if targeted.

Review the funnel, not your worth

Once a week, count verified roles found, applications completed, conversations earned and interviews reached. If the funnel stalls, change one input such as target fit, evidence quality or search channel.
