Give each phase a job

A quarter moves quickly enough that every phase overlaps the next.

  1. Weeks 1–2Map every assessment, confirm course fit and build the minimum repeatable study loop.
  2. Weeks 3–4Use first feedback to change methods before midterm preparation takes over.
  3. Weeks 5–7Protect recovery time while projects and second assessments accumulate.
  4. Weeks 8–10Shift from catching up to retrieval, synthesis and final deliverables.

Use a three-part course loop

Before class, spend ten minutes identifying the topic and one uncertainty. Within the same day, reduce the lecture or reading to a short set of claims, steps or questions. Before the next meeting, retrieve the key ideas without looking and complete one representative problem or explanation.

This loop is intentionally small. The speed of a quarter makes an elaborate system fragile; a modest loop repeated after every meeting will outperform a perfect weekly reset that happens twice.

Use one page to decide what the next seven days require.

Recover within one cycle

When work slips, protect the next learning cycle first.
